This place used to be good, but went there recently and had a HORRIBLE experience. I asked for a glass of water and got a cup filled with tiny green bits. When I asked for a new glass, I was given the same cup with the same green bits. When I asked again, the waiter said they use regular tap water and that I could order a soft drink if I wanted something else. The tap water wasn’t the problem; it was the dirty glass. I ended up feeling ill shortly after… Still have no idea what green gunk was in that cup.
I love Aka, I can truly say it's one of my favorite sushi spots. The all day happy hour on the weekends is fantastic, and they have a large selection of happy hour items. Service can be subpar depending on who you get, but I still find myself coming back for the food itself - worth it.
Such a great place. If you like izakaya style this is one of the places I recommend. It has a great small plate selection but to get a good price go during happy hour. Their sushi is also good but honestly me and my friend will just order about ten small plates and go to town. The staff is really great everytime I go they are super friendly and welcoming. The ambience is pretty nice even when crowded it still feels private.
